October Floral Influences & Inspiration

Floral Influences & Inspiration

Welcome October! Fall is here. Enjoy the crisp sunny days.

We love finding you fun ways to look at jewelry and its impact on our day-to-day lives! This year we’ve decided to look at flowers and their association with each month and their influences on jewelry.

As with many of our months, October also has two flowers Marigold and Cosmos.

We hope you have as much fun with this as our previous newsletters and learn some interesting facts along the way!

Don’t forget to RSVP for our Trunk Show with Attilio Zanetti too. Reminder details below.

Thank you for taking this journey with me.

Marigold and Cosmos

Marigold symbolism varies across cultures. It symbolizes purity and divinity… the connection between life and death, wisdom, faith, and innocence.

These flowers are generally grown as annuals, although some species, grown in warmer climates, are perennials. The flower petals can be single or double and give off a pom-pom look. They have a strong, distinctive scent and bloom in shades of orange, yellow, and red, often with a darker center.

Cosmos symbolizes harmony, peace and balance.

Originates from the Greek word “kosmos,” meaning order and harmony, like the arrangement of its petals. It’s a daisy-like flower that comes in pink, white, orange, magenta, and purple. These showy, long-lasting flowers are frequently used in flower beds, borders, cottage gardens and wildflower meadows.

Cosmos are popular as cut flowers due to their long vase life and vibrant colors.

Our Fabio Angri collection on my website is inspired by flora and fauna, which was in turn the inspiration for these fun newsletters.
